Australia is going to the Moon! An Aussie designed and built rover will be part of NASA’s Artemis program in the second half of the 2020s. The rover is being developed by local industry and universities to demonstrate Australia’s expertise in remote operations. The Royal Australian Mint celebrates Australia’s impact in space with this 2024 Mintmark and Privy Mark Four-Coin Set.

The reverse design depicts a stylised scene featuring an Australian astronaut exploring space and with an insert paying homage to WRESAT-1, Australia’s first satellite. While the presentation card depicts a rover exploring the moon.
